Electric and electronic equipment - RoHS

The RoHS Directive aims to reduce the risks to human health and the environment by replacing and restricting hazardous chemical substances in electric and electronic equipment. The Directive also aims to improve the prospects of cost-effective and sustainable recycling of material waste from electronic and electronic equipment.

RoHS = Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

Beijer Electronics - RoHS 2

Beijer Electronics AB, (hereafter referred to as Beijer Electronics), hereby confirms that from 2nd January 2013 all Beijer Electronics branded products brought into the European Community by Beijer Electronics and products developed by Beijer Electronics AB for use within the EC have been manufactured in compliance with Directive (EU) 2015/863 amending Annex II of the EU Directive 2011/65/EU, in as much as these products contain lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB and PBDE at concentrations <0.1% by weight, cadmium at concentrations <0.01% by weight, Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) at concentration <0,1% by weight in all homogenous materials except where exempt from Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS II) and its amendments.

The RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU, or ‘RoHS2’ as it is sometimes called, is a CE marking Directive and is a European law. The CE marking on our products indicates that our products comply with all applicable CE marking Directives including RoHS 2.

In respect of the third-party products which are not RoHS II exempt and which Beijer Electronics regularly distributes within the EC, Beijer Electronics undertakes to supply a copy of the manufacturer’s Declaration of RoHS II conformity upon request. In respect of other third-party products which Beijer Electronics may occasionally distribute, Beijer Electronics undertakes to request a copy of the manufacturer’s Declaration of RoHS II conformity and so make it available when called upon to do so.
